Blood pressure average calculator
Average a set of home readings so you can bring a concise summary to an appointment while keeping the original values for context.
Frequently asked questions
How is a blood pressure average calculated?
Systolic values are added and divided by the number of included readings. Diastolic values are calculated separately. Pulse is averaged only from readings that include a pulse value.
Can I calculate a seven-day home blood pressure average?
Yes. Enter two readings in each morning and evening session. Missing sessions are shown and are not estimated. You can export every original reading, including excluded values.
Should I exclude the first day of readings?
The NICE home-monitoring method excludes day one for its diagnostic average. This calculator makes that option explicit and leaves it off by default. Follow your clinician’s instructions; other protocols can differ.
Will invalid readings be silently ignored?
No. Any malformed or non-positive reading stops calculation and shows an error. Correct it before calculating. The tool does not select the lowest readings or diagnose conditions.
